About Tiana | |

|
Hi, my name is Tiana. I am a 12lb, 2-year old Dachshund. I came from a large group of Doxies and when our owners health began to fail she surrendered us to the shelter. I had never been outside my home or near people so when I first came into rescue I was scared and unsociable. But my foster mom has been working with me and says I am coming along very well! I get along with other dogs but I will still run away if people try to grab me, so you must approach me slowly. I am learning to trust humans.
I haven't been around cats or small children. I'm still dealing with fear issues, so I would do best in a home without young kids. I’m fine with the human teens in my family as long as they are calm.
I am a healthy little girl, heartworm negative yay!! I am working on housetraining but do know how to use puppy pads. I will also follow the other dogs outside when they go but do not know to tell you I have to go out. I am learning to play! Man I have missed out on life. I am quite adorable and would love a family that would give me plenty of physical activity to burn my energy!
I am scared of leashes right now, but we are working on introducing me to harness and leash. I am a very vocal little girl! My foster mom is working with me on the barking during the night. I would love the company of another dog in my forever family! I am still learning to trust, so my new family must have patience, and I will reward them with my trust! Because of my skittish behavior she will need to have a secure fenced yard.
My fee is 175.00 and includes all vaccinations, heartworm test, fecal test, spay, microchip and 1-year heartworm prevention shot.

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
