An old soul who needs a loving last home. It’s hard not to look into Casey’s eyes without your own blurring a bit. This sweet-tempered, good-natured Chow mix was found wandering, very confused and a matted mess, in a Dollar General Store parking lot in July. While most people walked by, some nice folks took time to try to help her. Casey is probably about 13 years old. She isn’t ill but she’s dealing with many of the same issues humans do in old age. Her adoption fee has been covered by a TDR Angel, so all she needs now is the right individual or family to adopt her.
Casey gets along with people and other dogs. She’s mostly deaf, has arthritis, and her back isn’t as strong as it used to be. She is house- and crate trained. Because of Casey’s age, she needs to go out pretty often. It would be wonderful if she had an owner who works from home or perhaps is retired. TDR knows it’s no small thing for someone to open his/her heart to a pet who might not be around for very long, but Casey still knows how to give and receive love. We think she deserves the comfort and care that obviously she’s missed for some time now. Fee: Sponsored by TDR Angel

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
