Hi my name is Amarylis but my foster mom calls me Amy.  I am a 2 year old female Maltese mix.  I weigh approximately 10 pounds and I am a total love.  I am heartworm negative and will be spayed and up to date on all my shots before adoption.  

My foster mom calls me a goofball because I have a huge silly personality.  I guarantee to make you laugh!  I am housebroke, leash trained, and love to sleep through the night.  My foster mom hasn't even heard my bark yet!  I'm saving it as a special surprise...maybe for the mailman?  I haven't decided yet.

I get along with dogs of all sizes as long as they are friendly.  I can be a little timid around dogs that don't mind their manners and overwhelm me.  I could be an only dog in my new home but I just LOVE to play and would really like to have a companion my size that could play with me!  I haven't been around cats yet, but we could arrange that if my potential new home has kitties.  I would do best in a home with no kids or with older children that are respectful.  I plan on coming out of my shell more especially in my new home but for now, new scary things are a little intimidating for me.  

I love going outside and walking on a leash with my person.  I like to smell all the smells and watch the birds fly by.  I tried to chase a butterfly the other day but it got away from me!  Sometimes my foster mom laughs because I just like to sit outside and watch the sunset.  She's says I'm like a little human.  I'm taking that as a compliment.

Naps are my specialty.  Any time you want to nap or cuddle on the couch, I'm your girl.  I will entertain you with my unique sleeping positions and sounds.  Sometimes I pick the back of the couch...sometimes the dog bed...sometimes the pillows.  I like to switch it up and nap in all the places.

I am crate trained, however, my foster mom has left me loose when she's not in the house and I just took a nap on the couch.  I'm not destructive or loud.
