Hey there, I’m Deliliah!  Please feel free to sing the Delilah song to me whenever you see me!  I feel like I have my own theme song!  “Hey there, Delilah what’s it like in New York City…”   Sorry, got distracted, it happens!  I am a 10-month-old female brown dachshund mix and I weigh ten pounds!  I am up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and will be spayed before adoption!

 First off, the main thing you need to know about me is that I LOVE people.  I can’t get enough of them.  I want to be touching people all the time! 

Want to watch a movie…I’ll be on your lap! 

Road trip….I’ll be on your lap.  

Sleeping…I’ll be on your back! 

Must. Touch.

If a velcro dog is not your thing, I might not be the right fit.  I just love humans!  Young, old, I think they’re all fabulous.  I love other dogs as well.  I would love a home with my own humans and other dogs to play with!  Oh, that would be heaven.  It’s unknown how I am with cats, but it can be tested before adoption if needed.

I’m not a fan of the crate.  My foster mom has been letting me roam the house when she’s gone, and I have caused no issues!  I am not fully housebroken yet so I would need someone willing to work with me and make sure they were available during the day to give me frequent potty breaks!  I’m still a puppy so I’m a work in progress!   

Please know that I am still young, I may bark, I may dig in the yard, I might have accidents.  I need a human that can help train me to be the wonderful Delilah I can grow up to be!

I am learning to walk on the leash and have been doing really good!  I love watching the birds and squirrels….just fascinating!  Maybe we could take some walks through the woods!  I bet there’s tons of birds in there!  The best part about being a dachshund mix?  I have the wonderful nose but my legs are long!  I can go on nice long walk with you! 

Speaking of long, my foster mom says I’m the longest puppy she’s ever seen!  She said I remind her of Slinky in Toy Story.  I haven’t seen the movie yet!  Maybe I could watch it with my forever family!?  Oh, that would be just wonderful!
