MEET OLIVER. He is looking for his forever home. The vet says he is about 10 years old. Whoever owned him was very gentle with him and he has very good manners. He doesn't jump up on people or furniture. Oliver is good with other dogs (inside or outside) unless they take away his chew bone! I've never had a dog that was so good with ear drops & taking medicine (seriously). He is really gentle and loves to be scratched. And obviously, he has ridden in a vehicle many times because he just settles right in for the ride. He is receiving treatment currently with his ears - they were in pretty bad shape & his hearing was impaired but he's a real trooper about it. He is also heartworm positive - and taking meds for that also. He is current on all other vaccinations including bordetella. I'm not sure how he reacts to small children since ours are teens. Appetite is good. He loves his rope bone and will fetch a time or 2 but mostly likes to just sit & chew on it.
He is living in Smith County. (he was picked up - literally - on the side of the highway) No microchip. Weighs 36 lbs. Dark chocolate colored with freckles and beautiful copper colored eyes.
Oliver would be great with an older person since his energy level is not "over the top". I can't say enough about this sweet guy. If my husband would say yes, I would keep this fellow in a heartbeat!
***available as foster to adopt while getting HW treatment, cost is covered by Tired Dog Rescue***

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
