Looking for a loyal, gentle giant? Harley is a beautiful 5 year-old Giant Schnauzer. He is a big boy and weighs in at 113lbs but could stand to drop a few pounds which we are working on. Because of the personality of a Giant Schnauzer we prefer someone with Giant experience or with other large dominant breeds. He is very sweet and good with other dogs but he will try to be in charge if allowed. I would say no small children only because he doesn’t realize his size and might accidentally knock them down. 

Harley is housetrained. I have not needed to crate him. He prefers to lay on the couch while I am out. He has finally started being a dog and LOVES to play with his foster sisters and brothers. Starting to throw his toys and play with them.  He would do well as an only child or with another sweet, playful dog. He is very strong so if you are planning on walking him be sure you are strong enough to do so.

Giants have a life expectancy of 12-15 years so make sure you are financially able to care for such a large baby for a long while. He eats approximately 5 cups a day and his grooming can be expensive also.

Harley is a wonderful, beautiful soul. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped and just received a 12 month heartworm prevention shot.
