A" IS FOR ALPHIE. This seven-year-old Shih Tzu is the classic lap dog. He's gentle, even-tempered and gets along with children, cats and his fellow canines. Alphie came to TDR because his owner is moving into a nursing home. His owner had an additional dog, so a home with a friend for Alphie would be best. Alphie is happy playing but also like to chill and watch tv. He is underweight and is currently trying to put on a few pounds. He is leash trained and likes playing with toys.
