CUTIE PATCHOULI. This 7-year-old Dachshund mix is full of spunky personality. She is sweet natured, and it seems her tail is always wagging. One of her favorite activities is going up and down the steps to the sofa. Patch enjoys cuddling with her people, and prefers to sleep next to them, burrowed under the blankets. She also loves running around the fenced-in yard. This little gal weighs about 17 pounds and needs to shed a few. She needs owners who will keep her on the reduced-calorie diet she's started, and also make sure she gets activity every day. Because of her weight and breed, TDR recommends she have steps to help her get on furniture. Patch is house- and crate trained, and she gets along with her fellow canines. TDR has no information on how she responds to cats or small children, but her overall demeanor is affectionate and friendly. She's also a talker who will let you know what's on her mind. She is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and recently had a dental cleaning. Available through Tired Dog Rescue, Gulfport, MS. Fee: $175. Apply at tireddogrescue.org.
