MISSING HER FAVORITE PEOPLE  Sophie Sue's owner recently died and then the person caring for her learned he would have to move to a new home and couldn't take Sophie with him. This sweet girl's two favorite people are gone and she really needs a devoted forever family to take her in. This 11-year-old Dachshund loves to play with toys, including a homemade gizmo made from an empty 2-litre bottle. She has a gentle disposition and gets along with her fellow canines but TDR has no information on how she responds to cats or small children. Sophie is spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations. She is terribly overweight and already is on a special diet. Her new family will need to be diligent about controlling her food intake and making sure she gets exercise. Currently, Sophie weighs 31 pounds and should top out at about 15.
