I'll call you Darlin', you call me Pumpkin. That's right, my name is Pumpkin! I am a five year old, 11 pound, spayed female chihuahua mix. Unfortunately, I was heartworm positive but don't worry, I've already finished treatment! I'll be good as new in no time! I just need a calm home for a few more months until my heart heals. That will be no problem for me, lounging is my expertise!
A little about me, I was rescued from a large hoarding situation and now that I know what attention and affection is - I WANT IT ALL! My foster mom calls me a Velcro dog. I just love to be loved. My favorite activity is just being around my people and whatever they are doing. I am very sweet and really know how to turn on the charm! Spend five minutes with me and I promise I'll have you wrapped around my tiny paw (In a good way!).
I am learning very fast and promise to continue my studies with you! I'm currently working on my house training and my foster mom says I'm doing really good! I've mastered walking on a leash already, and I would just love to learn more tricks with my forever human!
I love people and I am the most loyal dog you'll ever meet. Are you walking to the end of the Earth? I'll follow. Do you want to join a traveling circus? I'll learn to jump through a fire ring for you. Are you buying a boat and traveling the Antarctic? I promise to not bark at the penguins (okay, I can't promise some tiny little baby barks won't come out). With all that said, maybe just relaxing on the couch with an occasional road trip is more your style? I'm your girl!
I am SO good with adults and smaller dogs. I would do best in a home without children as they distract me too much from making sure my human has all the attention they need. That upsets me and make me feel uncomfortable. I'm not sure how I am with cats, but I can be tested before adoption if needed. I also need a home with no high energy larger dogs. They make me nervous, and I just feel they might get more attention than me with their size...and I'm not okay with that!
I love to sleep with my foster parents or in the living room. They have not crated me as I am doing so great being in the house with them (I told you I'm working really hard!)
The only thing I really want is a warm lap and someone to love unconditionally forever. I've come from the worst situation and now I'm ready to live the good life with my very own person. All the adventures and lazy naps we could have!
