About Barrel | |
|
|
Barrel is a 10-year-old neutered male Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a tan coat and a heart full of love. Weighing just 8.4 pounds, this little guy is house-trained and uses a doggy door like a pro. Barrel is scheduled for a dental cleaning and an ECG to ensure he’s in tip-top shape for his forever home.
Personality:
Barrel is a certified cuddle bug! While he can get a little anxious when being picked up, it’s only because he’s so excited to be loved. He’ll wag his tail and do a little happy dance but might run off if approached too quickly. With patience and a calm demeanor, Barrel will come right to you if you kneel down and extend your hand. At night, he loves snuggling up between your legs and burrowing under a blanket for warmth.
Favorite Things:
• Soft, squeaky toys
• Quiet, cozy spaces
• Cuddling with his favorite human
Ideal Home:
Barrel thrives in a calm, quiet environment. He experiences anxiety with loud noises and gets nervous around young children, so a home without kids or with older, respectful ones would be best. He hasn’t been around cats, so it’s unknown how he would react.
What He’ll Give You:
Barrel will love you unconditionally and shower you with kisses. His gentle nature and love for cuddling make him the perfect companion for someone looking for a low-energy, loyal friend.
If you think Barrel could be the snuggle buddy you’ve been searching for, apply to adopt him at Tired Dog Rescue . He’s ready to find his forever home!
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
