Hi my name is Aiden and I was left to die in a crate on the side of the road. Cars drove by us for days before curiosity got the best of one nice man that finally stopped to check out the crate. Boy was he surprised when he looked inside and saw me and my sister in there. We were in really bad shape. We hadn't eaten in a while and we were bald with Mange. He took us to the humane society who called a nice lady to come and rescue us. We have been living the life for the past few weeks. The itching stopped and our hair is almost all grown back. We get to run around in the yard playing ball and we eat food and treats. Unfortunately it is time for us to be adopted so I pray that I get to go to a home that is just as great. I am looking for a family to love and one that will love me and never let that type of horror happen again. Are you the one??? Tired Dog Rescue asks that you please think carefully before adopting a Cocker Spaniel. Cocker Spaniels are a very high maintenance breed. They must be brushed 1-2 times weekly to keep their fur from matting. Grooming cost averages about 60.00 every 6-8 weeks. Cockers must have weekly ear cleanings to avoid infection and costly trips to the vet. If you are not prepared for the time and cost of owning a Cocker Spaniel please consider a lower maintenance breed. Please note that Tired Dog Rescue will not adopt Cocker Spaniels to homes that have small children living in the home or that visit the home often.
