Hillary is approximately 9-months-old. She is a petite Cocker weighing in at a whopping 15lbs!! Hillary has very unusual features for a Cocker as her coloring is almost white and she is very tiny. Hillary came from a situation where she was tortured by small children so she absolutely cannot go to a home with children under 10 or children older than 10 that do not know how to interact with a small dog. You cannot reach quickly for her when you first meet her as she will snap at you. Once she knows you she is a love bug. She is still a puppy so she will still try to bite your feet as you walk and chew on things if bones and chew toys aren't available. She is house trained and loves to run around the yard. We prefer her to go to a home with a fenced yard and with at least another dog to play with. This is not a deal breaker but it is just what we prefer. If there is no fence you would you would need to very active and be able to take her for walks and potty breaks. Hillary is already spayed, up-to-date on shots and heartworm negative. The person who adopts her must be prepared to keep her on heartworm prevention without exception!! Cocker Spaniels are very high maintenance dogs so you must be prepared to get their hair cut at least every 6-8 weeks. The cost for grooming averages around 50.00 so make sure that is in the budget. Their ears must be cleaned every week to avoid ear infections and costly trips to the vet's office. Please think very long about this before you decide on a Cocker.
