My former family moved and left me behind. I was so scared and dirty and hungry when my foster mom and dad came and saved me. They took me home and fed me and cleaned me up. I am stunning if I do say so myself. I am very playful but love to snuggle under the covers at night with my foster mom. I am very well behaved for a young boy and I LOVE to play. Cocker Spaniels are a very high maintenance breed. They must be brushed 1-2 times weekly to keep their fur from matting. Grooming cost averages about 60.00 every 6-8 weeks. Cockers must have weekly ear cleanings to avoid infection and costly trips to the vet. If you are not prepared for the time and cost of owning a Cocker Spaniel please consider a lower maintenance breed. Please note that Tired Dog Rescue will not adopt Cocker Spaniels to homes that have small children living in the home or that visit the home often.
