SHea is an approximately 1.5 year-old red/white Cocker Spaniel. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. Shea is a shy boy. It seems that he didn't have a lot of attention in his former home. He doesn't even know how to give kisses. He is getting more and more comfortable every day though. He LOVES to snuggle and to be petted and brushed. His fur is thin due to flea allergies. He is now on flea meds so his fur should start to come back nice and thick. Shea would make anyone a great pet. He is housetrained and SO eager to please. He knows some commands like sit and shake and loves to show off. If you think you can give this boy a great loving home please fill out an application. Tired Dog Rescue asks that you please think carefully before adopting a Cocker Spaniel. Cocker Spaniels are a very high maintenance breed. They must be brushed 1-2 times weekly to keep their fur from matting. Grooming cost averages about 60.00 every 6-8 weeks. Cockers must have weekly ear cleanings to avoid infection and costly trips to the vet. If you are not prepared for the time and cost of owning a Cocker Spaniel please consider a lower maintenance breed. Please note that Tired Dog Rescue will not adopt Cocker Spaniels to homes that have small children living in the home or that visit the home often.
