Sassy Pomeranian Looking for a New Human.

This 10 year old spayed female is looking for a person to adore. She is a very affectionate dog who tends to idolize one person. Don’t get me wrong she loves everyone in her family but she generally hangs out with the quietist, slowest moving, and saniest adult in the household. Saya currently lives in a house with 2 medium sized dogs and 2 cats, 2 school age children and 2 adults. Although Saya is the smallest in the house she is quick to keep the furry riff- raff in their place. No cat or dog will intimidate her into submission, and she has lunged at a 200lb Great Dane who wandered too close. Saya is hoping to find a quieter home. I think her ideal home would be an older adult who has few or no other animals. Although she loves “her children” she has shown distaste for the neighborhood children that sometimes stop by the house. These pint sized insane humans are too noisy, too unpredictable, and too loud for her delicate sensibilities. She generally hides from scary situations but if she is cornered I have seen her chase down and bark incessantly at threats. (It is actually kind of funny in a cute way but don’t tell her I said that. If she asks she is very intimidating.) She has never bitten a person, but HAS snapped at other dogs and cats. Saya is current on all shots (She was seen by her vet April 2013.) She is currently on heartworm prevention (Heartguard) and flea prevention (Frontline). I will transfer her supply of both and will provide a copy of her medical records. Her most recent dental was in 2012 and she has had teeth removed. She currently has no health issues aside from having bad knees. Occasionally when she goes in to puppy frolic mode you will see her limp on a back leg but she usually works the kink out within a few strides. Saya hates loud noises, especially thunder and fireworks. She is kennel and potty trained. Saya is approximately 7 lbs and requires frequent brushing and occasional bathing. She does alright at the groomers although she thinks they are kind of scary.

We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
