Hi! I am Eliza, a gorgeous Staffy/Boxer mix. My foster family calls me Captain Liza Lou the House Hippo because of my built in brindle eye patch and the fact that I can fall asleep anywhere. I am a happy, fun loving girl who wants nothing more than to be your new 76 pound lap dog. The vet thinks I am about 4 yrs old and he should know- we’ve gotten to know each other very well over the course of my recent surgery to repair a  torn ligament in my leg. I’m all healed up now and any residual stiffness is great news for my forever family- no long walks or laps around the dog park needed for me; I’m more of a two quick trips outside a day to feel the sunshine and do my business type girl!
I really am the Total Package, future mom or dad. I don’t jump or beg, and I am kennel, house, and harness trained. TDR even sent me to Camp Bow Wow Mid-City New Orleans for training school as a puppy! At night, I go straight into my crate, do a few cute minutes of pibble nibbles on my stuffed unicorn, and then sleep all night through. In fact, my foster Mom says- besides my cute snoring- my only bad habit is that, like most of my Staffy relatives, I tend to be reactive (AKA I get loud) when I see other animals, even though my tail wags the whole time.  I sometimes enjoy playing with other dogs (No large females, please. I am the Canine Queen of My Castle) but will probably not do well with kitties because I might try to chase them. I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, micro-chipped and heartworm negative.
